Consumer Rights and Guarantees Policy
You have the right to receive what you purchased. Under Australian Consumer Law, when you purchase a product or service it comes with automatic guarantees that it will work or do what was at least advertised. If you buy something that isnβt right or what you expected you have Consumer rights that you are entitled to.
At Go Gift Yourself we value Customer Experience and hold ourselves to a high standard of products and services.
What are Consumer Guarantees?
In short Consumer Guarantees assure that products and services are of acceptable quality and match what you purchased or was advertised.
This means if a product arrives damaged, broken, faulty, is not fit for the intended purpose or does not match the advertised product you are entitled to Consumer rights.
Consumer guarantees do not apply if you:
- got what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it
- misused a product in any way that caused the problem
- knew of or were made aware of the faults before you bought the product
- asked for a service to be done in a certain way against the advice of the business or were unclear about what you wanted.
If we fail to deliver any of these guarantees, you have consumer rights for:
- repair, replacement or refund
- cancelling a service
- compensation for damages & loss.
Repairs, Replacements, Refunds and Returns Policy
As Go Gift Yourself is an online store it is hard to see products at face value, we have an extensive process in place for ensuring that you get the highest quality service and product available. We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging where possible. Youβll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
In the event that you receive a product or service that does not meet your consumer guarantees, you can apply for a repair, return or refund by writing to us at supportme@gogiftyourself.com.au.
Please include the following in your email for us to process your request as soon as possible:
- Your name
- Your order number
- Your delivery address
- Date of purchase
- The problem or issue with the product or service
- Proof of purchase: invoice or email confirmation
- Proof of damage or breach of Consumer guarantee in the form of photos
- The Compensation you wish to receive
- Your Contact Details; email address and phone number.
Upon receiving your email, we will review your request and if necessary, an inquiry into the problem will be started. You will be updated at every step and we strive to resolve the issue within a reasonable time. When an inquiry is not necessary, compensation will happen upon immediate contact. We will either arrange for a repair, return, replacement or refund. In the event that Go Gift Yourself is not liable for the damage and a third party is at fault, reasonable compensation will be given such as a discount, free gift or re-delivery.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Certain types of items cannot be returned either, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items).
We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Change of mind Policy
Unfortunately, Consumer Rights DO NOT cover change of mind. If you decide you do not want the product, find it cheaper elsewhere, simply change your mind or wonβt use it. Go Gift Yourself is not entitled to honour consumer guarantees. This also includes exchanges, unfortunately due to the nature of our products we will not honour exchanges. We want to remind consumers to purchase with care and consideration, if you do have a problem with an item that is covered by Consumer Guarantees, we will do our best help you find a solution.
Shipping Costs and Responsibilities
In the event that you have to return a product, or we organise a re-delivery of a product Go Gift Yourself will cover all Shipping and Handling Costs. This however will be done within reasonable time and consideration. Express shipping may not be available and processing time may vary.
